Have you purchased PPI, but were never aware of it? ………………. Then you may have a case of mis-sold ppi, where you have been sold the PPI insurance along with a personal
loan or a credit card.
This is the case for millions of people in UK and is being addressed as a serious issue by the authorities in the UK.
If you have bought any PPI with or without acknowledgement, then it is your responsibility to approach any one of the organisations involved to investigate whether proper procedures for selling were followed.
The maximum time taken for any payment protection insurance claims is around 8 to 16 weeks.
If you have any of the following financial products then you should better check if it is attached to a PPI and if it has been owned in the last 6 years.
If your complaint involves a policy that you think may have been “mis-sold” – or involves a dispute about the refund of premiums – then you should normally get in touch first with the person who sold you the policy (for example, at the bank or building society where you took out the loan, mortgage or credit card that the policy covered).
If your complaint involves a claim you have made that has been turned down, then this will usually be the responsibility of the insurance company whose name and details are set out in your insurance policy.
If you’re not sure what do to next – get in touch with us. We should be able to sort out which company is involved and pursue then for compensation.
