We receive a lot of calls and emails from the public asking; "Can I enter an IVA if I already have CCJs against me?".
If you have a CCJ (County Court Judgment) you can definitely do an IVA. An IVA can avoid further recovery action after a creditor has obtained a CCJ against you.
Please note that an IVA is not a loan so you do not have to pass any credit checks before you can be approved for one.
A CCJ is an decision made by the courts saying you must repay the debt. A CCJ can either be for the amount agreed between you and your creditor or, if you can't agree, a payment set by the court.
If you have judgments from more than one creditor, your can combine your debts and make an IVA - staying you must make a single payment every month to be shared by all your creditors.
