We receive a lot of calls and emails from the public asking; "How do my creditors get their money in an IVA and what are the IVA dividends?".
Unlike a Debt Management Plan where creditors receive a monthly distribution, an IVA normally pays creditors on a dividend basis, annually.
It is the IVA Supervisor’s job to distribute the funds collected in the IVA. These funds represent the monies paid in by the client over what would normally be a 5 year period. The funds available to the creditors will be those left after the Nominees and Supervisors fees have been paid.
Once all the funds have been paid out of the IVA account the account will be closed.
If you wish to discuss the Individual Voluntary Arrangement (IVA) procedure and understand how it can help you please complete the following form or telephone freephone 0800 074 6918.
