Money Advice Direct debt advice team has a large skilled debt advice and support unit. We have been offering debt advice for over 10 years and are dedicated to solving debt problems.
In the 10 years we have been working with the public we have helped many families have a better future. We use our specialist advice trained staff to find the best debt advice for those seeking debt help & advice and who want to get debt free (subject to terms and conditions).
We assist individuals, families and businesses with debts or those just seeking debt advice. If we find that debt problems are not that serious (under £5,000) we can still offer debt help advice to you. Many people that call us have debts of £15,000, to several credit companies. Often, our debt advice teams work out that an IVA is the best route to recommend. The IVA or Individual Voluntary Arrangement for many is considered the best form of debt advice in the UK as it is a legally binding way to pay a small percentage of debts back over a short period of time. An IVA is very effective as it avoids all the social and financial problems associated with bankruptcy. Bankruptcy is considered the last option by our experienced debt advice teams.
Often our clients get disappointed that they do not qualify for an IVA. This may be because they are earning too much, have too much equity their properties or not enough debts. If this is the case please do not worry as there are many other procedures that can be offered by our debt advice unit workers.
Please note that an IVA is legally binding whereas a debt management plan is not. Our comprehensive Debt Management Plan assessments are very detailed. Please note that our debt advice service will only recommend options that will get you debt in the shortest time possible. Please note that for consumers considering a Debt Management Plan (DMP), although the consumer may become debt free (subject to terms and conditions) at the end of the DMP period, if a default notice has been issued the effect is likely to remain on the consumer's credit profile for a lengthy time.
Please note that for consumers considering a Debt Management Plan (DMP), if interest and charges continue to apply then there will be an increase in the total amount of debt to be repaid and that due to lower monthly payments it is very likely that the debt will have to be repaid over a longer period of time.
